COLD LASER

Both acute and chronic injuries can benefit greatly from Cold Laser Therapy’s ability to alleviate pain and speed healing. CLT can speed up tissue repair by as much as 50 percent, lessen or eliminate discomfort, and minimize swelling or inflammation. The great thing about CLT is that it is generally risk-free.

CLT doesn’t discharge heat but light. People with sensitive skin, metal in their bodies, or those under the age of 18 can also benefit from CLT who wouldn’t otherwise be eligible for other modalities. The main uses for cold laser therapy are tissue repair and relief from pain and inflammation.

The Way It Works

This technique involves the application of low-intensity light of varying wavelengths (between 600 and 700 nm) to a specific location. Light with a wavelength between 780 and 950 nm is employed for its greater penetrating power. You will feel the laser device making contact with your skin, but rest assured that this is a completely painless and non-invasive treatment.

Sprains & Bruises

Cold laser therapy is commonly used in the treatment of minor injuries and sprains (ligament injury, tendonitis, bursitis, tennis elbow, muscular spasm, neck discomfort, etc.) in sports medicine and physical therapy practices.

Inflammation

Cold lasers can treat inflammatory mouth tissues and repair ulcers. Rheumatoid arthritis & other chronic autoimmune illnesses are treated with it since inflammation is a major symptom of both.

Pain & Discomfort

Are you suffering from acute or chronic pain related to conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome? You can find relief through cold laser therapy.

Skin Tissue

Rejuvenation of the skin from conditions such as acne and scarring from acne, psoriasis, burns, edema, dermatitis, and rashes can be aided with the help of cold laser therapy. Wounds that are slow to heal can be treated using this modality.

Acupuncture

In some rare cases, acupuncturists may employ cold laser therapy instead of using fine needles. The acupoints on your body can be stimulated by the low-level laser beams in the same way as needles can, but without any risk of injury to the skin.

Different from Class 4 Category

Class 4 laser therapy refers to a type of therapeutic treatment that uses high-power lasers to deliver therapeutic light energy to targeted tissues. It is typically used for deep tissue penetration and treating conditions that require a higher intensity of laser energy, such as chronic pain.

Blue Light CLT

Blue light cold laser therapy is a form of therapeutic treatment that utilizes low-intensity blue light to stimulate cellular function, promote tissue healing, and target specific conditions or ailments. Lymph edema, non-healing wounds, and surgical site infection can all benefit from the use of a blue light laser.

This Mode Is Quite Effective and Unique

Cold laser therapy is unique due to its non-invasive nature and the specific way it interacts with tissues. When compared to other treatments, CLT stands out because of the cellular level it operates at to speed up the body’s natural healing process.

During CLT, the low intensity laser energy is absorbed by chromophores, which are light-sensitive. This absorption stimulates various cellular processes and triggers a cascade of biochemical reactions. The absorbed light energy enhances mitochondrial function, leading to increased production of ATP. As a result, it promotes tissue repair, reduces inflammation, and accelerates healing.

T-cells also play a role in the therapeutic effects of cold laser therapy. Studies suggest that the laser light can regulate the activity of T-cells, enhancing their function and promoting a balanced IS. This immune modulation contributes to the anti-inflammatory and healing properties of cold laser therapy.

At Pacific Physiotherapy Clinic, we have years of experience in treating a wide range of conditions thanks to our CLT treatment. This therapy is harmless and we bring most out of it!
